Puff and Bear 09

We are just delighted to introduce this very, very special litter.  This is our Bear's debut as a stud dog and he has far exceeded our expectations---the litter speaks for itself.  All six are uniform with crinkles from their nose to their toes--just like their mum and dad.

Little girls dressing for the web debut.

Two days old

Bear showing off his new Orvis bed--think it shouls have said Daddy Bear!

Golden pup is Finn's at one day old---cream lad is Puff's---a very chunky lad and only six days old!

Pups ten days old---the good life!

Another blissful, rainy Saturday! Almost two weeks old.

Daddy Bear showing off his snowball legs--he loves this new experience!

Choosing the pup that will grow up with your children is never an easy task--everyone has a favourite.

The final decision is made--Katrina/Olivia/Chris and Luke---in the end they all agreed that this was the pup destined to be Yogi.

Bear thought he would join in the fun--a bit like a bull in a china shop!

I'd say the joy of playing with pups is reflected in Katrina's smile.

Amy hoping if they were viewed together--the choice would be easier--not a successful ploy.  Two perfect pups!

Ahhh--in the end this lad emerged the winner--he will be known as Cooper.

This is Lucas, Alice, Reuben and Kevin.  Alice has severe allergies and we had several visits with the family over the past six months to ensure that she would be able to live with a pup.  Shear determination plays a very big role in this success story.  The boys fell in love with Puff and have honoured her by calling their new companion Puff.

Children can be very fickle--here is Lucus with Finn's pups, he thought they were cuter!

Reuben with a very sleepy Puff.

Bear thinks all the visitors are wonderful and certainly has been displaying behaviour that re-inforces our feeling that he needs to return to school!!

Jack, Matt and Lucy with Archie.  Lucy is keen to be on the list for pup number 2 next year.  A puppy at 4 weeks does not give a very realistic picture of what lies ahead, but we hope the enthusiasm lasts.

There seems to be something about owning a doodle that just makes folk happy!! This is Alison and Neil with daughter Rebecca and son Christopher.  New pup is Hamish---a good scottish name.

Christopher was very gentle and loving to all the pups--hard to decide who is the cutest!

This is Elli who will be living in Finland.  The little girl is Blythe who is having a Finn pup.

Pups now using two rooms and had their first look at the stairs--not much confidence to tackle them--another couple of days and they will be joining us.

This is what you have to look forward to---a wet, soggy doodle, the pups love playing with Bear and seem to take a bit of dirt as the norm!

We love pups with curls and these pups have come up trumps---five weeks old and almost ready for a haircut!

I call this photo-"morning chaos". Both litters yap yap yapping and crashing into each other to get out the door first.  The rest of the day they are fairly calm and sensible, but early morning is crazy.

Hamish is the first pup to leave us. He has lots of family awaiting his arrival back to Scotland.

Hamish and Rebecca on their summer holiday.

This is Hamish before the haircut that stunned his neighbourhood!  The vote is in and everyone wants the shaggy look back just as soon as possible!!

It was a long time coming, but finally the big day arrived and the boys have their very own PUFF. Reuben and Lucas are very loving little lads with boundless enthusiasm so I know PUFF will always have the love and attention that doodles thrive on. Dad Kevin is holding PUFF'S surrogate mother and mum Alice is holding PUFF.

No dog ever had more loving companions than Puff. She is a very lucky pup.

Little Puff looking very much like her mum and namesake big Puff.

Puff after her haircut---a beautiful girl.

Baby Puff at six months. The curled tail is a real Caitlin doodle trait.

Puff's front yard is the sea and she is now a real water baby---just like her mum

and dad.

Puff enjoying a proper doodle sized bone.

Happy First Birthday to Puff

We were delighted to finally meet Kaisa.Katja and Antti.  They live in Finland so had to leave the meeting of beautiful ELLI until departure time.  It was certainly love at first sight. We enjoyed our 24 hours together and am just sorry they live so far away.  I think a tour of Scandanavia to visit our pups is an excellent idea!

Bear and Puff wanted to join in the family photo. Andy with Bear,Kaisa with Puff,Katji holding ELLI and Antti delegated to carrying the bags.

Katja and Charlie---never one to be ignored!

ELLI was happy to have her morning nap in Antti's arms---she just snuggled in and barely moved---start as you mean to finish!

ELLI checking in at Manchester airport--a real star.

ELLI getting set for her flight to Finland.  She had to keep her hind legs in her soft carrying case to comply with airline regulations----she slept or entertained the whole flight.

Months of worrying that we had the right papers for entry was for naught---this customs official  was thoroughly charmed.

Elli is receiving a great deal of attention----everywhere she goes folk are wanting to cuddle her---looks like she is thriving on it.

Elli enjoying(sort of) the cleaning of muddy paws.

Elli with what looks like a rubber pig----bliss.

The next fes photos are of Elli enjoying her summer holiday with family and doggy friends in Finland. She is about six months old .

Elli and Kaisa--summer 09

I know I fit last month!  Amazing how quickly the pups have grown into proper dogs--this is Elli at 8 months.

Happy First Birthday to Elli.

This is Lucy holding a Finn pup with Becky,Matt and Jack holding ARCHIE.  Lucy originally wanted two pups, but we suggested she enjoy ARCHIE for a year and then see how she feels---she was tempted to put the little pup in her purse, but I am sure one pup at a time is the way to go.

Jack holding ARCHIE who is being admired by Lucy.

Archie looking ready for work as a model!

This is Archie at six months after a spot of gardening!

Archie and Lucy. Archie is so happy to have had his summer haircut----a very handsome lad with or without his curls!

Archie enjoying a proper butcher's bone.

Another traveling doodle.  This is COOPER with Amy on his way to Dublin by ferry.  He sat on her lap throughout the journey and was a perfect puppy.

Happy St Patrick's Day from Cooper---our Irish doodle.

Cooper is gaining admirers wherever he goes----he is also our ambassador in Ireland and Amy will be showing him off to prospective doodle owners

Please raise a paw if your name is Cooper!

This is Cooper at six months.

This is how Puff and Bear spent a very rainy day--you can see that discipline is not overly enforced!  Cooper is the spitting image of mum and dad.

Lucky thing that Amy is small---a longer couch may be needed by the time the lad is a year----he is six months old here.

Cooper enjoying his hydrotherapy session--I am still curious why they need to

wear life jackets??

Amy and Cooper.  I think this photo is wonderful.  The devotion to each other is clear to see.  Hard to believe he was just a dream at this time last year.

Cooper discovering the joy of playing with eggs!

Happy First Birthday to Cooper

YOGI'S family ---Katrina,Olivia,Chris and Luke were delighted with the size and laid back attitude of the lad----one very handsome pup.

YOGI will be sharing his days with Riagh--a very gentle, loving dog who will be the perfect role model. They were both eager to play---YOGI just needs a couple of months to grow!

Chris and Katrina with Yogi and Riagh on a day at the beach----Yogi had a wonderful time and ended up a proper soaking, sandy pup.

This is Yogi and Katrina at the Bowood dog show. For some unknown reason Yogi did not win first place, but was much admired.

Olivia and Yogi won first prize. The bond between dog and handler really

impressed the judges.  Well done.

Look what happened to daddy Bear----even those in the know can end up having to shave their dog so PLEASE-- PLEASE  make friends with a good groomer and introduce your pup early----Bear and Puff are gorgeous, but the coats will take a great deal of constant care.  BE WARNED!!
