Scarborough Labradoodle Reunion 2010.
The owners of pups from Bear and Puff 09 have been an extraordinary group. From the very beginning they supported each other via email. There have been ups and downs ---some serious, but they never faulted in their sharing and caring for each other. It was decided that it would be great fun to finally meet and Katrina took on the task of organizing dates and venue. She did a wonderful job and the following pictures show how special a time we all had.
Matt and Lucy and Jack with Archie were the first family to arrive. This is the initial greeting with Bear and Tulah. We were all very worried that it would be our dog that caused havoc and brought shame, but amazingly enough----we had no fights---many growls and snaps, but overall they made us very proud and admittedly surprised.
Tulah is so submissive---this is her usual stance when meeting new dogs---here she is with Archie.
Bear and Archie----if there was going to be any issues I thought it would be Bear showing who was boss, but he was a perfect gentleman all day.
Amy and Cooper were the next to arrive. They came all the way from Dublin--Tulah thought she would act as the welcoming committee!
Archie,Tulah,Bear and Cooper.
Andy rewarding the gang for being so good---Cooper,Archie,Bear and Tulah.
Arrival of Katrina and Chris with Yogi and Riagh---still can't believe that everyone got on!
This shows a bit of the Ox Pasture Hall Country Hotel in the Yorkshire Moors National Park---a more perfect doggy venue would be impossible to find---we all highly recommend it. I suspect their policy of accepting dogs was tested to the limit with seven!
Very welcome water after the fun of racing about in the grass.
Archie was the only sibling that stretched his legs out like this. Matt and Lucy were told it was a sign of good breeding!!
This is Reuben sharing a poem he and Alice had composed about owning Puff--it was very moving and he certainly shows great confidence. We hope to have a copy of the poem soon and will share it on the site.
I included this photo to show the interest shown by the hotel guests towards the site of six stunning doodles sharing a room for lunch. This is Puff in background, then Katrina and Yogi and Archie---only a few sandwiches were stolen !
Katrina with Yogi---up close and personal!
Chris with Yogi and Alice with baby Puff--the beautiful white coats will soon be a thing of the past.
Amy with Cooper--very much a chip off the ol block.
Bear----showed his kids just how to cool off.
Chris,Andy,Reuben,Katrina,Lucy,Lucas,Kevin,Alice,Jack,Matt,Amy --dogs in various order--covered in mud.
A very hot walk so doodle ingenuity found relief in a grand mud hole--bliss!! This is Puff(baby Puff).
Having a pond to cool off in and get a bit of the mud off showed the perfection of the venue. Bear wanted to spend the evening in the water!
Ria and Yogi---Riagh was a rescue dog with quite a story to tell and her calmness has had a very positive effect on Yogi.
We had a perfect evening to sit outside for dinner--dogs sleeping under and around the table.
Archie dressed for dinner---very smart.
lft to rt--Andy with Tulah and Bear,Kevin and Alice,Puff with Reuben,Amy and Cooper,Katrina,Chris with Yogi and Matt with Archie and Lucas
Bear absolutely exhausted the day after the reunion showing off the rosette that Katrina ---our organizer extraordinaire----awarded to all the doodles. It says Scarborough 2010--Labradoodle Reunion. Thank you to all for once again proving that Caitlin Labradoodles have not only very special dogs, but very special owners!
This is my answer to those who ask if doodles are good with children! Lennox
and friends say it all!

This handsome lad is Alfie---born to Charlie and a very fancy yellow Lab in 2003. I know I would do anything he requested!
This is beautiful Indie---born in 04 to Finn and Cosmo and now owned by Liz
This is Spike-born to Poppy in 2002. He recently was lost in the forest in photo for five days. It was a very frightening time for his owners who searched day and night, but on day five he was found by walkers--a little thinner, but still a happy doodle.
This is Benji on his sixth birthday. He is the handsome lad on the top of each page.Looks like being six is exhausting work.
